J -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE FOR AUTOMATIC GEOPHYSICAL OBSERVATORIES (AGO) Contact Point, Kurt E. Fidino. Antarctic Support Associates (ASA) under contract with the National Science Foundation is seeking sources interested in providing operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the Automatic Geophysical Observatories (AGO) which are currently located at four remote antarctic field sites. The O&M Services shall be in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). The AGO systems are unmanned, propane powered, scientific data collection centers which require annual O&M Services. The O&M Services required shall include deployment to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, and remote antarctic field sites; possible purchase of spare parts for the AGO systems; maintenance of the AGO thermoelectric generators; collection, and transport of scientific data; maintenance and calibration of on-board scientific equipment; installation of propane fuel pallets; monthly operations monitoring of the AGO systems via argos satellite data; and maintenance and calibration of data acquisition/data control units.
