Martin/Contracting Officer at (314)263-8028 53 - The Defense Mapping Agency (DMA), is seeking potential sources for a Just In Time (JIT) contract for electrical, plumbing, lumber, air conditioning filters, and hardware items used in the facility maintenance of their St. Louis, Missouri complex. DMA planners will order all items required for a job as a job order and the contractor will deliver all job order items just in time, within 72 hours of ordering. Each job shall be packaged, marked and shipped together. The ordering process should be via electronic data interface with the Contractor utilizing the Government credit card as the payment method. DMA intends to negotiate a discount percentage off a published catalog price. The estimated minimums/actuals are: filters - $5,000.00 minimum/$16,000.00 year. Typical filters vary in thickness from 2 to 12 inches with efficiencies of 15, 60, and 95 percent; plumbing - $2,000.00minimum/$5,000.00 year. Typical plumbing items include 1/2 to 2 inch copper and black iron piping, gate valves sweat and threaded with bronze stems up to 2 inches, and miscellaneous fittings to 2 inches; electrical - $5,000.00 minimum/$20,000.00 year. Typical electrical parts include No's 4 - 12 THNN wire, thin wall conduit 1/2 to 2 inches, sealtite flexible conduit to 1 inch, EMT ferrous sealtite boxes, and 20 and 30 ampere isolated ground receptacles; hardware - $2,000.00 minimum/$1,200.00 for 6 months. Typical hardware items include base cove, bolts, anchors, threaded rod, machine screws, and sheet metal screws; and lumber - $1,000.00 minimum/$1,600.00 for 4 months. Typical lumber types are 16 foot length of 1x12 grade C or better Western sugar pine, 16 foot lengthsof 2x4 grade 1 White pine, DONN brand commercial ceiling grid, 16 foot lengths of metal studs, plaster board and plywood. The total estimated minimum/actual is $15,000.00/$45,500.00. Potential sources should submit the following information for evaluation of their just in time capability: statement of intent describing the company's JIT hardware expertise, electronic interface capabilities, finicial resources, JIT ordering and warehousing capabilities and motivation for participation in this program.
