COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 4,1995 PSA#1317NASA, Johnson Space Center, BE33, Houston, TX 30 -- HYDRAULIC POWER SUPPLY SOL 9BE3327520P DUE 042195 POC WENDY
BOUDREAUX, Tel:713-483-5338 Contracting Officer:LISA REA,
Tel:713-483-8395 A hydraulic power supply (HPS) which will be a
portable, self-contained system that will connect to hydraulic lines
and a training facility, provided by others, at the Johnson Space
Center, Houston, Texas. It will provide 3000 psi and a minimum of 70
gpm per pump unit; two pump units are required for redundancy, both are
in one housing. Capability shall exist to develop 6,000 psi, at no flow
(deadhead), for certification testing of the entire system. The fluid
used will be Mobil DTE-24 hydraulic fluid. The HPS shall consist of
motors, pumps, and associated hardware to provide the specified
hydraulic power, as well as sound enclosures and heat exchange devices
to meet requirements. The electrical power will be 460 VAC, 3 phase,
and 600 amps. A chilled water supply will be available at 45 degrees
and at a 40 GPM Maximum. The HPS will be located in an existing PEAF
panel enclosure, with outside air flow, adjacent to building 9NE.
Positioning the unit and connection of electrical power, chilled water,
hydraulic lines, and remote control wiring will be by others. The HPS
shall operate unattended from a main control panel on the unit and/or
a remote panel. A key switch in the main panel will select whether the
local or remote panel is in control for all functions but ''emergency
stop'', which is always operable from both panels. The HPS shall have
a noise rating of 80 db at 5 feet from the source. The proposed
contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. --j) Hour meter
on each pump k) Single point of electrical supply (460 VAC); supply by
