Distribution Office,(804)864-2547. The system requirements are as
follows: 1. Design and manufacture of an input/isolation transformer,
load commutated inverter speed controller, and synchronous motor to
replace the existing drive system at NTF. 2. Demolition of the existing
drive line consisting of motors, gearboxes, clutches, and liquid
rheostats. 3. Perform design and analysis to interface the new drive
system with the existing utilities, foundations, and tunnel fan. 4.
Installation of all new equipment within existing real-estate, and 5.
Integration and commissioning of all new equipment with the existing
NTF subsystems. The Contractor shall be required to furnish training
and six (6) months of on-call maintenance service. Quantity: 1 system.
The period of performance is thirty (30) months from the effective
date of the contract. FOB destination delivery. Solicitation available
approximately May 1, 1995. All responsible sources may submit a
