The work includes A) The work includes the construction of a new natural gas distribution system on Charleston Air force Base, and the replacement of electric water heaters in several buildings to natural gas-fuelled water heaters. The work also includes the repair of asphalt paved driveways, roadways, and concrete aaidewalks and other physical improvements associated with the installation of the natural gas distribution system. It also includes building renovations and additons in connection with the replacement of water heaters. B) Paint indicated to be removed shall be assumed to contain lead and shall be handled accordingly. C) Asbestos is expected to be present in certain materials indicated to be demolished or modified. Refer to the drawings for specific locations. An amended synopsis will be issued establishing the Bid Opening Date. Estimated cost is $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
