This solicitation consists of two parts. One is to construct the IDEX building. Construct a 3100 SF single floor CMU Building adjacent to Building 540, Headquarters USCENTCOM, MacDill AFB, FL. Scope of work includes: demolition of existing concrete pavement and electrical boxes, exterior wall footings, fill, concrete floor slab, concrete block wall with stucco finish, approximately 2,660 SF computer room access flooring, installation of one each Government Furnished computer room air-conditioning unit, and electrical service to the building through existing underground electrical ducts. The other part is to repair the Image Analyst Area, Building 540. Renovation of approximately 4300 SF on second floor of Building 540, Headquarters USCENTCOM, MacDill AFB, FL. Scope of work includes demolition of existing partitions and acoustical lay in ceiling and light fixtures, construction of new partitions, new acoustical ceiling, installation of approximately 2500 SF of computer room access flooring, modifications to air distribution duct system, installation of new electrical panels and branch circuits. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 April 1995. The bid opening date will be on or about 17 May 1995. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small, disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern.
