Contracting Officer, 601-634-2424 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Waterways Experiment Station is soliciting research services for
sediment-water interaction. The Contractor must possess capabilities in
process research, development of numerical algorithms, and field and
laboratory measurements of sediment-water material exchange.
Capabilities are required for natural substances and toxic contami-
nants including: 1) mathematical representations of processes which
determine pollutant concentrations in sediment, 2) in-situ measurements
of sediment- water exchange process by Corps approved methods, 3)
assemble existing data pertaining to sediment-water exchange processes,
4) laboratory analysis, 5) operation and development of existing
models, 6) documentation of work items including training of government
personnel. It is anticipated that a require- ments contract will be
utilized for award with delivery orders issued as the need arises.
Award will be made for the base year with options to renew from year to
year up to an aggregate of five years. Request for this solicitation
