The work includes repairing elevated water storage tanks No. 127A, 127K, 640A and H2037. The work includes but not limited to exterior spot painting of tanks, risers, supporting structural member, tower ladders and safety climbing devices, repair cathodic protection system and repair tank hatch hinges. Bid opening date listed in Item 10 is approximate. Request bid documents by 09 May 1995. Estimated cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns shall notify this office in writing, Attn: Code R20.3 of their intention to bid the project as prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 days after this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status shall be submitted with references. If you have submitted this information within the last year, you need only to state that you have submitted and request the plans and specification. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
