all labor, materials, peripheral equipment and other services required
to install a computerized Building Automation System (BAS) for the
National Gallery of Art's 1.4 million square feet of occupied galleries
and support spaces. The system shall unify the operation, monitoring,
and control of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and lighting
systems. The system shall have (1) 24-hour maintenance and emergency
service on all system components; (2) Direct Digital Control (DDC); (3)
the ability to control museum and laboratory spaces; and (4) strict
24-hour temperature (plus or minus 1 degree) and humidity (plus or
minus 3%). The solicitation is scheduled to be released appoximately
April 24, 1995. All interested parties are to make their request for
the solicitation in writing no later than April 20, 1995 by citing the
