Air Combat Command (ACC) announces the availability of the ACC Mission Area Plans (MAPs). The MAPs are classified SECRET/NOFORN/WNINTEL and identify ACC modernization needs and acquisition, research, and development priorities for the next 25 years. The U.S. Air Force uses the MAP products as major guides for changing tactics, training, and procedures and investing scarce dollars to modernize its forces. These products guide future system acquisitions, modifications to existing systems, and potential enabling technologies. They focus Air Force laboratory efforts and industry's independent research and development efforts.
