published March 25, 1994 and November 7, 1994 for the requirement
entitled ''Technical Support in the Areas of Chemistry, Economics,
Engineering, and Exposure Assessment''. The original synopses
referenced solicitation number D301054M1; this notice changes the
solicitation number to W500596B1. The specific tasks will include the
following: Collect, analyze, and evaluate the usefulness of technical
data and results of studies regarding selected individual chemicals or
groups of chemicals; develop data on chemicals and industries through
means such as surveys, literature reviews, site visits, focus groups,
and conferences; prepare draft regulatory options documents and
supporting technical and economic data; develop procedures and criteria
as needed for petition review, selection of chemicals for listings
under the Emergency Preparedness and Community Right-to-Know Act
(EPCRA) sections 313 and 302/304; and design and implement studies on
the effectiveness of the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics
(OPPT) programs, including, but not limited to, studies of the extent
to which industry adopts cleaner processes as a result of OPPT
regulatory and nonregulatory programs and information dissemination.
The contract will contain a 12-month base period and four 12-month
option periods. The Government anticipates making two awards of 200,000
hours each, but a firm may receive only one award. Anticipated type of
contract is cost-plus-fixed-fee. The applicable SIC code is 8999. The
RFP is expected to be released on or about April 12, 1995. Firms which
previously requested the solicitation under D301054M1 need not
resubmit. New requests must be submitted in writing; requests may be
