The project involves the installation of approximately 6,000 linear feet of water main, associated piping, the installation of valves, and other work associated with the installation of a water main. The work includes connection to all buildings located on the Whitney Young Job Corps Center to the water main and a tap into the municipal Water main. In addition, fire hydrants will be installed at various locations on the Center. Miscellaneous demolition and earthwork are involved, and repair work and landscaping will be required. Construction time is scheduled for 168 calendar days to substantial completion. The estimated cost range for construction is between $250,000 to $500,000. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about April 11, 1995, only from the office of Potter and Cox Architects, Suite 800, Meidinger Tower, Louisville, Kentucky 40202. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for April 28, 1995, at 9:00 A.M. local time.
