transportation, and supervision to provide and install new laminated
asphalt shingle roofing, 27 new aluminum-clad replacement window sash,
one complete new aluminum-clad window, remove vinyl-asbestos floor
tile, apply a latex leveling compound to floors, new insulation in
locations indicated on drawings, new sheet vinyl flooring, new plumbing
fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, 4 new bathroom vanities, 2 new built-in
dishwashers, new light fixtures, a new bulkhead door, painting,
demolition and other associated work at the duplex, a 2-story house
with a hipped roof and 2700 SF of living area. The work at the adjacent
garage, a separate building (approx. 1050 SF footprint), includes
removing the existing asphalt shingle roof, providing/installing new
laminated asphalt shingle roofing and associated work. Estimated cost
of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation packages
to be available on or about 18 April 1995. There is a $20.00
non-refundable charge for the bid package which may be obtained by

procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration program and is unrestricted. THIS NOTICE
IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND
DISADVANTAGED ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT)
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises
to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the
DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to
provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
