Y -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TACTICAL AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES OPERATIONS COURSE (TEVOC) GARAGE FACILITY AT THE FBI ACADEMY, QUANTICO, VIRGINIA SOL IFB-6725 POC Mark R. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be soliciting bids utilizing full and open competition to construct a new 19,300 square feet TEVOC Garage Facility at the FBI Academy, U.S. Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. The work consists of the following: (1) site work including utilities to serve the building; (2) construction of an approximately 19,300 square feet steel frame automotive repair facility with an attached two story office/classroom section; (3) mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection work; (4) roofing, concrete foundations and slabs on grade, concrete masonry unit construction, exterior insulating finish system, metal stud drywall systems, acoustical ceilings painting, floor coverings, ceramic tile work, metal doors and frames, millwork, etc. The estimated cost of this acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Performance and Payment bonds are required. The FBI contemplates the award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this solicitation. A pre-bid/site visit conference will be scheduled at the FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia. The bidder awarded the resultant contract shall be subject to background investigations on its company and all individuals assigned to this project.
