Herting, 202/326-4160 X- 3320 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to modify an existing contract with NEC Business Communications Systems (East), Inc., to allow the purchase of a NEAX2400 ICS. Subject contract allowed for the purchase, installation, and warranty of a NEAX2400 MMG-HDS switch. This switch has been installed and accepted. However, this and several other NEC components are still under warranty and maintenance with NEC America and NEC Business Communications Systems (EAST), Inc. It is necessary for PBGC to procure subject switch from the same vendor in order to ensure operational performance with the existing PBX and to ensure expeditious warranty and maintenance service.
