52 -- PORTABLE COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE (CMM) SOL RFO5-02583 POC SANDY SHIN, 301-286-2634 Contract Specialist; Patrick D. Logan, Contracting Officer. This requirement is for a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The portable CMM shall provide a minimum dimensional measuring envelope of 3.6 meters and be capable of measuring satellite assemblies from the ground level to elevation of 10 meters without customized structural supports or lifting devices. The portable CMM shall provide a measuring range of two sigma bandwidth (95%) of plus or minus. 125 millimeter or better, including repeatability, linearity, and orthoganality. In addition, a 486DX-50MHz notebook computer shall be incorporated into the CMM system to provide three dimensional measurements, including feature measurements, form deviations, alignments, circle construction, and surface measurements. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA/GSFC Midrange Pilot Test Program which is reserved for small businesses.
