Gordon, Contracting Officer, (703) 274-8363 Facilities and services are required to receive, store, and ship 1,500,000 barrels (shell capacity) of Government-owned JP8 in the Gaeta, Italy area. The Gaeta, Italy area is defined as an area located within Gaeta, Italy, and/or the western coast of Italy, from Rome south to and including the Gulf of Taranto. Tankage requirement: a minimum of two tanks interconnected and isolated from other facilities and products handled within the tank farm are desired; however, one tank will be considered. Dedicated facilities are preferred; however, a common system will be considered, provided the offeror submits the data required by clause L116.01. Receiving and Shipping capabilities: via tanker/barge on a 24-hour per day, 7 day per week basis at pumping rates compatible with mode of transportation tendered (normally 2,000 bbls. per hour for barges and 8,000 bbls. per hour for tankers). A maximum of 10 tank trucks per day will be loaded. Estimated Throughput: Excluding initial fill and final shipment, one turnover per each 36 month period for product rotation and emergencies as this requirement is static storage.
