072-95. The. U.S. Army Missile Command is preparing to issue a Draft
Solicitation for the Soldier's Portable On-system Repair Tool (SPORT).
This draft solicitation is to solicit industry comments regarding the
specifications, statements of work, data requirements, evaluation
factors, and special instructions contained in the RFP. The SPORT is a
state-of-the-art on-system tester designed to augment the
built-in-test/built-in-test-equipment of various weapon systems within
the Army. The hardware includes a portable lightweight
controller/diagnostic aid capable of making voltage, current and
resistance measurements, provide a 1553B interface, and be capable of
controlling an external instrumentation expansion chassis. The
instrumentation chassis shall be of a standard architecture and shall
house commercially available instrumentation boards. The quantities are
82 ea. basic with options of 9,918 ea. for the Controller/Diagnostic
Aid; 32 ea. basic with options of 2468 ea. for the Instrumentation
Expansion Chassis; and Training and Engineering Services options. This
procurement will be full and open competition. Send request for
