The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD proposes to procure on a firm-fixed-price basis, an Interactive Firearms Training Device, a system which incorporates 1/2'' VHS video tape format being played in an Industrial VHS Videotape Cassette Player/Recorder. This equipment projects life size images, by the use of a portable LCD color video projector with extra projector lamp. The system must be IBM compatible and link with the VHS videocassette player/recorder. The bullet action will be shown by Instant Replay with ''Freeze Frame''. The system must have three types of weapons that emit light and cause the projected scenarios and bullet action to be scored (S&W 4'' revolver, 9m semiautomatic, Remington .12 gage shotgun). The system must be managed by an IBM compatible computer which controls the scenario projection. Items requested is as follows: IBM compatable computer with VCR interface, VHS video cassett recorder, video projector, large portable screen with floor stand, extra projector lamp, adapted .9m pistol, adapted .38 revolver, adapted .12 gauge shotgun, 3 AC prowered gun batter chargers, software, operation manuals, maintenance, installation of system, warranty and maintenance, and operator training.
