Y -- DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION 142 MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING UNITS AT FORT CARSON, COLORADO SOL DACA45-95-R-0047 DUE 053195 POC Contact Contracting Division at: (402)221-4266. On or about 4 April 1995, this office shall issue an Invitation to Receive Offers for the design and construction of 142 housing units. Closing date is on or about 31 May 1995. Housing consists of one and two story wood frame units, seven of which to accommodate handicapped family members. Construction will consist of variously configured duplex housing units without basements. An overall community design theme is encouraged with a variety of designs and elevations for the housing units. Family housing units to have: patio, attached single car garage, exterior storage, individual central heating systems, and including the following Contractor-furnished/Contractor-installed (CF/CI) equipment and appliances: range, refrigerator, garbage disposer, dishwasher, water heater, and hard-wired, interconnected smoke detectors. Family housing units shall be a mix of two- and three-bedroom family housing units. The current Congress authorization for the complete design and construction of this project is $14,000,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Proposals shall be evaluated based on technical merit and price. Competition will be unrestricted. A preproposal conference/site inspection will be held 26 April 1995. Site Information Plans (full-size), proposal documents, specifications and pricing solicitation forms will be furnished by the Omaha District office upon request (one set at no cost). Additional sets of plans, proposal documents and specifications receipt of a payment of $30.00 per set in the form of cash, check, or money order made payable to the ''Omaha District, Corps of Engineers.'' The payment will not be refunded and the drawings need not be returned. The request, together with the payment shall be mailed to the U.S. Army Engineer District, Omaha, Corps of Engineers, 215 North 17th Street, Omaha, NE 68102-4978, Attention: Finance and Accounting Office. Request for RFP package must cite RFP number DACA45-95-R-0047. No telephone requests for the solicitation package shall be accepted. A list of plan holders will accompany the first amendment.
