The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and transportation necessary to construct a Redding Maintenance Facility Vehicle Storage Building and Outdoor Storage Yard. The principal components of the work include excavation for building site, excavation for concrete loading dock, retaining walls, approach apron, foundations and trenches and constructing embankments, backfilling, compaction and gravelfill. Construction of foundations for building, garage approach aprons and loading docks. The work also includes removing concrete foundations; removing steel structures; removing electrical equipment; and furnishing and installing vee-type disconnecting switches, post insulators, outdoor flood lamps, receptacles, ground system, conduit, insulated conductors, cables, bus systems, and terminators. The cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All work is required to be completed within 240 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be issued on/about April 4, 1995, on an unrestricted basis. All bids from responsible sources will be considered. Bids will be opened on/about May 5, 1995. The solicitation will be issued on double-sided, high-density DOS-formatted 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. The IFB and specifications are formatted using WordPerfect 5.1.
