The U.S. Postal Service is seeking prospective firms that can provide information on products or services that yield objective, systematic data on supplier past performance that can be used as an evaluation factor for future procurements. The Postal Service has multiple buying locations for postal products and services, including facilities and transportation. Last Year, the Postal Service awarded 83,075 contracts for over $5 billion. The data provided must be developed using systematic measuring and tracking methods in a continuing, independent, and unweighted assessment. The scope of this effort entails gathering data on the quality of products/services provided by each supplier in reponse to the needs of the Postal Service and will be an assessment of all relevant facts and circumstances which demonstrate a consistent commitment (or lack thereof) to customer satisfaction and timely delivery of quality products. Commitment may include such things as promptness of response to requests. success in meeting schedules, a supplier's reputation for effective, efficient, reasonable and cooperative behavior, innovative problem solving and troubleshooting, responsive corporate management support, and exceptional operational performance of equipment in such areas as product life, extended warranties, and average annual maintenance costs.
