IFB o/a 03/26/95. Estimated Cost Range: $250,000 - $500,000. Time for completion: 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Project involves: within the existing Building 41, for the unfinished portion of Bay 4 (approximately 9700 square feet of warehouse with 25 feet clearance from concrete floor to roof joists), provide the following: a new two level storage rack system complete with wire basket shelves, stairs, metal deck, mechanical lift, light fixtures, and a wet sprinkler fire alarm system. Modify the following: air conditioning ducts, fire alarm public address system. PROJECT ALSO INCLUDES: Retrofit the existing light fixtures in Bays 2, 3, 4 and 5 (encompassing approximately 43,500 square feet). The work shall require removal of PCB ballasts and T12 lamps. Provide new reflector kits, sockets, electronic ballasts and T8 lamps. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos or other hazardous material work shall satisfy special responsibility and shall provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks. The General Services Administration (GSA) has determined that this procurement is subject to the participation goals in Section 3021 of the Energy Policy Act of 1992. See Note 1. (0067)
