A -- ENHANCEMENT OF THE GATED LASER VIDEO SENSOR (GLVS) IMAGE SYNTHESIS TOOL (GIST) SOL N61331-95-R-0031 DUE 042495 POC Phillip Morris, Contract Specialist, (904)235-5387 Carol A. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Divsion, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole-source contract to Nichols Research Corporation (NRC) for the enhancement of previously developed GLVS GIST to support evaluation of candidate lasers and sensors for overall system enhancement. NRC developed the GLVS/GIST for the Coastal Systems Station. The computer code is capable of operation on a variety of platforms using the Unix operation system. NRC has just completed a number of enhancements to the IRMA code which are enhancements required by the GIST code to conduct the desired analysis required by the Government. As the sole developer and maintainer of the IRMA code, NRC is the only contractor qualified to enhance the GIST code with IRMA upgrades. In addition, under a previous contract, NRC established specific measurement procedures for analyzing the intensified cameras used in the GLVS system and are uniquely acquainted with the intensified measurements which feed directly into the camera model of the GIST.
