Mammoser (206) 615-2454. Work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to abate asbestos containing material (acm) in the unoccupied hospital. ACM to be removed may include, but not limited to: pipe insulation, fireproofing, plaster walls and miscellaneous building materials. Work also includes abatement in twenty (20) single-family quarter units. Work will require replacement of those building items that are destroyed or removed by the abatement process, i.e., pipe insulation, suspended ceiling tiles, light fixtures, etc. The plans are dimensioned using International System of Units (SI) (Metric) ``soft conversion'' wherein metric equivalents are substituted for standard inch-pound measurements. The estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance is 90 calendar days. Bid documents will be available on about April 17, 1995, at the HHS/PHS/Office of Engineering Services, address listed above. The proposed contract listed herein is set aside for 100% Indian-owned, controlled, and operated firms under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. In accordance with the Public Health Service Acquisition Regulation Paragraph 380.503(e), not more than fifty (50) percent of the work to be performed under a prime contract awarded pursuant to the Buy Indian Act shall be subcontracted to other than Indian firms. For this purpose, work to be performed does not include the provision of materials, supplies, or equipment. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
