Rhode Island 02841-1712 C -- ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR VARIOUS
ALTERATION/REPAIR/CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT THE NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE
CENTER, NEWPORT, RI, NEW LONDON, CT, DRESDEN, NY AND FISHERS ISLAND, NY
Sol N62472-95-B-1850. This is not set aside for small business.
Architectural and engineering services are required for the preparation
of plans, specifications, cost estimates and occasionally surveys
and/or reports. Each project may cover a broad range of disciplines
including architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, environmental
and electrical. Associated work may include the preparation of
``as-built'' drawings, checking of shop drawings, approval of
submittals and consultation during construction. This contract is an
Indefinite Delivery A/E Contract for a period of twelve months and
including an option for an additional one year extension. The
Government reserves the right to exercise the option for this contract.
A minimum fee of $5,000.00 is guaranteed under the basic contract.
Subject to necessary changes, the total AE fee that may be paid under
this contract will not exceed $200,000.00 for the basic contract and
will not exceed $200,000.00 for the option year. AE firms responding to
the announcement will be evaluated on the above requirements based upon
the following criteria in relative order of importance. a) Professional
experience of the firm in conducting building renovation and
construction b) Professional qualifications of staff to be assigned to
this project c) Multi-disciplined engineering capability d) Innovative
design capability e) Adequacy and qualification of sub-contractor and
consultants f) Contract document quality assurance and
interdisciplinary coordination g) Cost control effectiveness H)
Location of the firm in the general geographic area of the project,
provided there is an appropriate number of qualified firms therein for
consideration. I) Past experience if any of the firm with respect to
performance on Department of Defense contracts J) Present workload K)
Volume of work previously awarded to the firm by the Department of
Defense L) Computer aided design and drafting capabilities in a format
that is compatible with NUWC Autocad Rev, 12. Engineering firms which
meet requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit
a completed Standard Form 254 Architect-Engineer and Related Service
Questionnaire and Standard Form 255, Architect-Engineer and Related
Service Questionnaire for Specific Project, to ROICC, NAVFAC Contracts,
NETC, Building 1, Simonpietri Dr, Newport RI 02841-1712. Firms
responding to this announcement by 31 March 1995 will be considered.
Services will be required within one year of the date of contract award
under this basic contract. There will be an option to extend the
contract for an additional year. The government reserves the right to
exercise the option of this contract. A minimum fee of $5,000.00 is
guaranteed under the basic contract. Subject to necessary changes, the
total A-E fee that may be paid under this contract will not exceed
$200,000.00 for the basic contract and will not exceed $200,000.00 for
