This is a notice of intent to purchase a Tape Backup System. This system shall be compatible with a VAX 6610. The system being procured is a Winchester FTB-2SB-24X-2ST8 FLASHDAT 3 Turbo Subsystem to include; two (2) high speed (up to 855 KB) 4GB 4mm DAT Cartridge Tape Drives, two (2) data compression hardware module and LCD display (increase total capacity to 13GB/tape), two (2) eight cartridge stacker and magazine (inc total capacity to 104GB), one (1) BI bus tape controller board, two (2) FCC approved shoebox enclosures w/power supplies and cooling fans, one (1) lot-cables, power cords and documentation, one (1) year factory parts and labor warranty, sixteen (16) DS-T4X 4mm 120m DAT tape cartridges, two (2) DS-4CL 4mm cleaning cassettes, one (1) BAC/Plus tape librarian w/quick file access, one (1) DTA software license, DEC-BI DEC BI/TMSCO license fee, BAC/CLUSTER BACK/plus cluster fee, and installation of system.
