constitutes NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO SOLICIT ON A SOLE
SOURCE BASIS, Motorola, Inc. (the manufacturer) to provide a Medical
Emergency Communications System consisting of the following items:
Digital Simulcast Radio Infrastructure, Air to Ground Radio System,
Logging Recorder, Digital Mobile Radios, Digital Control Stations,
Digital Portable Radios with Chargers, and Dispatch System. The
contractor will also be required to perform Stateside integration of
the system, and installation of the total system in Okinawa, Japan.
Quantity: 1 system. Estimated date of delivery and installation: 60
days ARO. Only those sources able to demonstrate the ability and
resources to strictly comply with the requirements of the Government
need respond to this advertisement. The Government's requirements
include, but are not limited to the following: The provision of a
system which will be capable of successful interface with the existing
Motorola equipment currently on-island, the ability to provide a
locally-based service technician (in Okinawa, Japan) for preventive
maintenance and immediate response to emergency repair calls (24 hours
response time), And the availability of crucial Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) repair parts and supplies. All responsible sources
certifying the ability to meet these requirements may submit an offer
