Sources Sought-CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TRAINING. This notice is issued for the purpose of conducting a market survey to locate additional sources for education services for ''PERMIT CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TRAINING'' course to be held at Patrick AFB and Cape Canaveral Air Station, Florida. Course content should address all topics required for compliance of 29 CFR 1910.146 - OSHA final rule on ''Permit Required Confined Spaces'' and consist of both classroom and field ''hands-on'' training to cover the regulatory and theory concepts associated with permit confined space rescue training. As a minimum, instruction should cover: (1) the identification of hazardous conditions that may be faced during entry, including information on the mode, signs, or symptoms and consequences of exposure, (2) how to properly use rescue equipment (i.e., rescue rigging, knots and equipment, basic lowering techniques and rappelling, rope hauling systems, mechanical winches, etc.,), and (3) patient management and packaging techniques (i.e., spinal immobilization, litter lashing, and victim harnessing). Field ''hands-on'' instruction should allow students to practice concepts and applications learned in the classroom environment. Sufficient quantities of rescue equipment kits for use by the students during field instruction must also be provided. The SIC code applicable to this acquisition is 8299 and the Small Business size standard is $5.0M. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested firms are requested to provide evidence of a capability to perform by submitting a statement of capability not later than 15 days after publication of this synopsis. A statement such as ''can provide'' is not adequate. While issuance of a solicitation may result from this survey, this notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government.
