In accordance with requirements of the Gautreaux Consent Decree, HUD requires a contractor to assist members of plaintiff class to obtain housing in existing buildings throughout the Chicago metropolitan area under the Section 8 existing housing payments program and to assist additional members of the plaintiff class to obtain housing when housing units become available for occupancy in structures constructed or acquired under HUD assisted housing programs. The contractor shall negotiate marketing arrangements with owners of HUD-assisted housing for the purpose of placing members of the plaintiff class. Offerors must possess knowledge of the Chicago real estate market and should have experience in counseling and placement. The RFP will be available in approximately 15 days and proposals due approximately 45 days from the date of this notice. Contract term will be for two years with three one-year options.
