Contracting Officer at (513) 666-4511 The National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center requires
inertial and suspension parameter measurements on a
tractor/semi-trailer combination vehicle. The types of tests to be run
include suspension bounce and roll mode kinematics, lateral
compliance, longitudinal compliance, aligning moment compliance,
chassis stiffness and measurement of suspension component inertial and
geometric properties. The tests will be conducted on a single
combination vehicle supplied by the government. The Government intends
to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with The University of
Michigan, Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) to perform these
measurements. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is a RFP
available. Interested parties believing they are capable of providing
this requirement must respond to this notice in writing within fifteen
(15) days after its appearance in the CBD. Interested parties must
demonstrate proven capability to perform all of the measurements
described. Mere expressions of interest will not be considered. In the
absence of responses within the specified time, negotiations on a sole
