Contracting Officer. NASA/GSFC intends to procure a gold-onto-glass
vacuum depostion system which uses a hollow cathode sputtering
technique. The proposed system must be an intergrated turn-key system
consisting of the following subsytems: (1) Vacuum baseplate and all
pump/gauges necessary to generate, measure, and control a suitable
vacuum for sputtering process; (2) Hollow cathode sputtering source and
well regulated DC sputtering plasma generator; (3) A gas-flow regulator
for precise introduction of argon into the chamber during sputtering;
(4) Automatic process control system for measuring, controlling and
interlocking the above items; and (5) A cabinet to contain all
sub-system controllers in one intergrated system. This procurement is
being conducted under the NASA/GSFC MidRange Pilot Test Program. All
responsible small business concerns may submit an offer which the
Agency will consider. Requests for the solicitation must be submitted
either in writing, or faxed on 301-286-1745 to the Contract
Specialist's attention, Code 241. Responsibility of verifying receipt
