S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI all in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The work will involve construction of two new floors totalling approximately 18,000 gross sq. ft., onto the D-Wing of Bldg. No. 1 in a vertical expansion. One floor will be dedicated to wet and computer labs, with associated support space, and the other floor will primarily house offices, conference rooms, and support space. A new roof top penthouse will be constructed from a field-assembled composite metal wall system, to house the two new air handling units, which will serve the spaces below. Work shall include general construction, interior alterations, site work modifications, mechanical and electrical work, laboratory equipment, utility systems, and necessary removal of existing structures. Duration of project is 360 days. Cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. All requests for this solicitation shall be in writing. No telephone requests will be accepted. A limited number of bid packages will be available to prime and sub-contractors on a first come, first serve basis until the supply is exhausted. This solicitation will be available o/a 3/20/95. BOD is anticipated o/a 4/19/95. SIC 1542 with a size standard of $17 million is applicable. This solicitation is unrestricted. (0062)
