Thompson, Contracting Officer, 301/713-0823 This is a procurement on a firm fixed price basis for professional services for the calibration and incidental parts replacement of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment owned by the National Weather Service (NWS). NOAA shall require the services over a five year period at 118 NWS NEXRAD weather radar locations nationwide with options for additional sites. Each site is equipped with 26 items consisting primarily of Hewlett-Packard (HP) or Gigatronix RF signal generators, HP power meters, frequency counters, noise figure meters, milliohmmetrs, power sensors, spectrum analyzers, and attenuators, along with Tektronix digital oscilloscopes, Wavetek function generators, Fluke multimeters, Narda power dividers, and Hipotronics oil testers. NWS requirements may also include similar older miscellaneous non-NEXRAD test equipment and tools at the same sites. The contractor shall provide and maintain Mobile Calibration Facility(ies) (MCF)(s) or van(s) for on-site use in performing on-site inspection, testing, incidental parts replacement, and calibration services.
