Thomas, Phone (703)604-1109 The UAV Joint Project office (UAV/JPO) is
developing an interoperbility architecture to maximize the benefits
available in the open system environment. An open system environment
encompasses the functionality needed to provide interoperability,
portability, and scaleability of computerized applications across
networks of heterogeneous, multi-vendor
hardware/software/communications platforms. The open systems
environment provides and extensible framework that allows services,
interfaces, protocols and supporting data formats to be defined in
terms of nonproprietary specifications. 2. The UAV/JPO is interested in
obtaining comments on the payload and air vehicle abstract models from
contractors who are knowledgeable of and experienced with one or more
of the following areas: -Planning and execution of airborne missions
to support surveillance, target acquisition or other forms of
intelligence collection - Command, control and operation of UAVs -
Command, control and operations of mission payloads for reconnaissance,
surveillance, target acquisition, and intelligence collection with
emphasis on EO/IR, SAR and SIGINT payloads. 3. Any participation will
be strictly voluntary and at no cost to the Government. Interested
