The work includes removal of existing acoustic tile ceiling panels and suspension systems for the installation of a metal grating work platform and railings, providing a new chiller and associated air conditioning equipment, duct work, piping, electrical and incidental related work. The work also includes providing necessary wiring/final connections, electrical accessories to government furnished and installed equipment, and removing existing acoustic tile ceilings in battery rooms and replacing with water-resistant gypsum board ceilings. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should notify this office in writing, Attn: Code 0212AC of their intention to bid the project as Prime Contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 MAR 94. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. In either event, an amended synopsis will be issued indicating set- aside decision.
