SERVICES FOR THE MIDWEST AREA. Sol 0004-5114-95 due 031095. Contact

U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area,
has a requirement for Architectural-Engineering Services for
repair/maintenance, alteration, and/or new construction projects
located in the Midwest Area - Madison, Wisconsin. Requirements may also
include the states of Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa,
Minnesota and Michigan. The contract will include, but not be limited
to, A-E services for environmental assessments, building and/or site
investigations, design development, construction drawings,
specifications, detailed cost estimates and analyses, bidding phase
services, construction phase services, shop drawing review and
approval, construction inspection, construction monitoring, design
review, and other related services. The contract shall be for a period
of one (1) year beginning from date of award, with a Government option
to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods. The contract will be
for a minimum of $1,000.00 worth of services per contract year, with
a maximum limitation not to exceed $100,000.00 worth of services per
contract year. Consideration of firms will be limited to those located
within 50 miles of Madison, Wisconsin, who can provide professional
services primarily in the disciplines of architectural, structural,
mechanical, electrical and HVAC engineering for pre-design, design, and
post-design contract services. The following specific factors will form
the basis for evaluation and determination of those highly qualified
firms and selection of the best qualified. All factors are of equal
importance: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and
technical competence in the type of work required to support
agricultural research; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the
required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government
agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of
work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location of prime
or consultant contractor within the 50 mile radius of Madison,
Wisconsin. Firms desiring consideration must submit SF-254 and SF-255
forms meeting the requirement of this announcement by 2:00 p.m. local
time at Peoria, Illinois, 30 days after the publication date and be
identified as responding to Solicitation No. 0004-5114-95. This project
is set aside for small business. (SIC Code 8712) SF-254 and SF-255
forms received after the exact date and time specified will be
processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Paragraph
