proposed work is a modification of the FAS/CIVIC/ANBACIS Maintenance
contract, DNA001-90-C-0167. The contractor shall use existing
government and commercial software to the maximum extent possible. The
contractor shall develop software as required to correct identified
deficiencies, develop the graphical user interface, improve upon
graphical representation of output calculations, and integration tools
as appropriate. The contractor shall integrate existing nuclear,
biological, and chemical hazard prediction codes and their associated
databases on military POSIX compliant WINDOW/NT/UNIX based platforms as
directed by the Government. State-of-the-art practice methodologies,
e.g. process reengineering and reverse engineering shall be used to
modify as appropriate the existing model, simulation or code in order
to optimize its performance after incorporation of the desired changes
and enhancements. The contemplated period of performance is 17 months.
The Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) plans to award a sole source contract
modification to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC),
10260 Campus Point Drive, San Diego, CA 92121, under DNA contract
DNA001-90-C-0167. DNA believes that SAIC is the only source possessing
the existing RDT&E expertise to adapt this specific requirement to
meet this program requirement within the time required by DNA and
available funding. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully
identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22.
