STUDY SOL DASW01-95-R-0102 POC Contact Ms. Debbie Smith,
(703)695-2563/Contract Specialist Defense Supply Service-Washington on
behalf of The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense has
a requirement to administer half hour computer-assisted telephone
interview (CATI) to a national sample of approximately 10,000 youth
between the ages of 16 and 24 regarding their attitudes toward military
service (including specific branch or component preference), plans for
the next few years, goals in life, interests, media habits, and
awareness of military advertising. This is an ongoing study that has
been conducted every year since 1975 with annual modifications. The
purpose of the survey is to provide the Armed Services with market data
that enables them to more accurately target advertising and recruiting
activities to appeal to potential recruit populations. The project
includes design and selection of the sample, modification of the survey
instrument, questionnaire administration, compilation and weighing of
the data, production of preliminary and public use data tapes and the
preparation of documentation and analytical reports. The administration
of 10,000 interviews must be conducted over a period of approximately
eight weeks, beginning in September 1995. This will require that a CATI
system be in place prior to contract award. You may obtain a copy of
RFP DASW01- 95-R-0102 by submitting your written request to the address
specified above or FAX your request to 703/697-9440. Requests must be
