212/668-6273. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to
perform routine Drydock Vessel Maintenance including but not limited to
the following minimum quantity items: (1) Refurbish Scullery, (2)
Provide Temporary Berthing, (3) Provide Temporary Logistics, (4)
Preserve Sewage Space Bilges, (5) Overhaul Shipboard Davit Crane
(Allied Marine Crane - Model Davit 5000), (6) Provide Temporary
Messing, (7) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (8) Routine Drydocking,
(9) Renew Fuel Tank Plating. Indefinite quantity items include but are
not limited to the following: (1) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall
Propeller Shaft and Associated Components, (2) Preserve Underwater Body
(Great Lakes), (3) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (4)
Welding Repairs, (5) Provide Additional Temporary Messing, (6) Provide
Additional Temporary Berting, (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall
Thrust Shaft and Associated Components. Vessel homepier is Charlevoix,
MI. Vessel length is 180 foot - width is 37 foot. Vessel availability
schedule is 5 June 1995 for 42 days. The place of performance is
geographically restricted to the Great Lakes. There will be a
nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at
building 400N, Governors Island, NY. The proposed contract listed here
is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 13 Mar 95. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
