(202) 267-2486 The Coast Guard intends to issue a Request for Proposals
(RFP) for the design and construction of a Coastal Patrol Boat (CPB)
based upon an In Service/Parent Craft requirement and a performance
based Circular of Requirements. It is the intent of the Government to
award one contract for design and lead boat construction, including
logistic support, training, and data requirements. The solicitation
will contain options for up to fifty additional boats which will be
subject to an Economic Price Adjustment clause. Offerors must
demonstrate the capability to provide both design and boat construction
expertise and facilities. Lead boat delivery is required 540 days after
contract award. The RFP is expected to be released on or about 23 March
1995 with proposals due 61 days thereafter. Additional information will
be provided with the RFP. The Coast Guard previously published the
requirement under RFP DTCG23 94 R AWP025; that solicitation was
cancelled. In accordance with 48 CFR 15.606(b)(4), the new solicitation
will be issued to all companies that were on solicitation DTCG23 94 R
AWP025 mailing list. Only the RFP with attachment one (Circular of
Requirements) will be issued until other arrangements are made with the
Contracting Officer. Other companies which require the RFP may contact

classification code for this acquisition is 3731. The small business
size standard is 1,000 employees. There is a statutory prohibition
against foreign shipyards constructing the boats required by this
