The Nuclear Regulatory Commission requires the services of a
contractor to perform analysis of experimental test data from advanced
light-water reactor test facilities. The contractor shall analyze
experimental data for various facility components and perform
computations of internal energy, energy release rates, and flow and
energy release in relation to differing conditions. The contractor
shall also perform calculations using the RELAP5/MOD3 code and perform
a comparison of the code in relation to the experimental data. The
types of RELAP5 calculations anticipated are pretest calculations and
blind post- test calculations of experiments. The contractor shall also
provide support to the NRC in evaluation of experiment and code
results. The successful contractor will be provided with the RELAP5
computer code and input decks, test scenarios with lists of the initial
and boundary conditions, and data tapes. The period of performance is
18 months. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all
concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small
businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals. A source list comprising the names,
addresses, and telephone numbers of all concerns requesting a copy of
the solicitation, with large businesses identified by an asterisk, will
be provided with the solicitation. In order to identify large
businesses on the list, a request for the solicitation should indicate
the size of the business based upon a SIC code of 8711. The size
standard for this solicitation is average annual receipts for preceding
three fiscal years not to exceed $2.5 million. In order to allow small
concerns sufficient time to contact you for possible subcontracting
opportunities, you are encouraged to make your request for the
solicitation prior to the solicitation issuance date. A copy of the
solicitation and all subsequent amendments will be provided to each
requester. Interested firms should submit written requests for
RS-RES-95-040. Telephone requests will not be honored. Closing date for
