Ott, 803/743-0913 The Contractor shall provide operation, maintenance and repair of the water system at Charleston Naval Shipyard Complex by means of a combination firm-fixed price and indefinite quantity contract. The work shall include pumping, storage and distribution of potable water; corrective and preventive maintenance and repair of the systems. The contract will be for a base period of one year, 1 April 1995 - 31 March 1996 and contains 4 one-year options with a total contract term not to exceed 60 months. This is a source selection type contract consists of submission of technical and price proposals. The proposed contract is a 100% set aside for small business concerns. Site visit is scheduled for 8 March 1995. The proposed contract is being considered for 100% set aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns and/or SBC. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but no later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the Contracting Officer listed above evidence of capability to perform including performance and credit references, former contracts of similar size and complexity, and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns or small business concerns, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted without further notice.
