The United States Army Information Systems Command intends to issue an RFP for the acquisition of Matrix Switches to automate technical controls, integrated administrative and operational functions of the technical control via installation of matrix switches with State-of-the-Industry control systems and provide computer aided monitoring and control of circuits that traverse the Defense Communication System. Automation functions need to include the ability to arrange connections to electronic equipment to condition, secure, test, monitor, enhance, route/re-route, user's circuits and maintain administrative circuit databases from a computer workstation. Period of performance will be a base contract of four years commencing 1 September 1995 with six (6) one year options starting on the third year of the base period.
