975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has
a requirement to obtain explicit data reguarding factors that affect
small manufacturers'competitiveness behavior and desision making
process, which will enable the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership
(MEP) to better configure service delivery. The Contractor shall
investigate the following three areas: a. Industry Market Analysis; b.
MEP as a lever for enhancing distribution of modernization technology
and consulting expertise; and c. Original equipment
manufacturer/supplier chains as a mechanism to enhance technology
assistance distribution and effectiveness. Deliverables shall be
reports related to the areas of investigation. The Government estimate
of the labor required to complete this requirement is one person year.
The Period of Performance shall be 12 months after award of the
contract with one addition 12 month option period. FOB
Destination--Gaithersburg, Maryland. Requests for this solicitation
shall be in writing to the above address--The proposed contract is a
100% set-aside for Small Business Concern whose average annual receipts
of the concern and its affiliates for its preceeding three fiscal years
