The principle features of work include, but are not limited to: (1) Alter: The alteration work consists of providing an air conditioned control booth; (2) Repair: All other work including demolition of the existing covered firing points and all related concrete, all baffles; provide new structural steel baffles, earthwork, covered firing points, bullet trap, lights for night firing. This is a firm, fixed-price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The performance period will be 180 days. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 7 Mar 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magintude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. Even though this solicitation is being considered for an SDB set-aside, business concerns other than SDB are invited to bid. If, after bid opening, SDB bids are determined to be more than 10 percent above the fair makret price, this acquisition will be converted to unrestricted and all bids received from non-SDB firms will be considered.
