The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Huachuca, AZ is seeking sources for ITT Software for UNIX Workstations. ITT Software requires a UNIX workstation, running Motif 1.2, X11R4 or X11R5. The hardware should have a graphics accelerator, display dimensions of at least 1152 by 900 pixels, color video, 64MByte of RAM, 1.1 Byte internal SCSI disk, and a sound board capable of record and play back of u-law and m-law encoded files. The OS should be SVR4 UNIX, preferably POSIX compliant. In addition to the workstation itself, a Read/Write Magneto Optical disk drive (MagOpt) is required. The MagOPt should be capable of reading ISO formatted 512 Byte sectored media, either the 600MByte or 1.3 GByte size are acceptable. Currently ITT is running of SGI Indigo II Extremes, and SUN Sparestations, (10s, 20s, SPARC5s). The MagOpt drives in use include APUNIX, MAXXOPTICS Tahiti TMT3, and ARTECON EOD. The preferred solutions for cost and compatibility are a Sparestation 5 for students; a Sparestation 20 for instructors; and ARTECON 1.3GByte MagOpt drives. Firms that have the expertise and can provide the above equipment are encouraged to identify their interest and technical capabilities in writing by submitting a qualification statement.
