69 -- CONTRACTOR LOGISTICS SUPPORT FOR THE SIMULATION NETWORKING (SIMNET) SYSTEM POC Contact Contract Specialist, Belinda C. Brown, 407/380-8048/Contracting Officer, Mr. J. Ronald Farr, 407/380-4444 The Government intends to negotiate and award to AAIEngineering Support Inc., 100 Industry Lane, Cockeysville, MD21030 a three-month extension to a five-year procurement in orderto provide a bridge contract to a competitively-awarded follow-onfor Contractor Logistic Support for the Simulation Networking(SIMNET) system. The SIMNET training system is comprised ofsimulators that replicate combat vehicles, weapon systems, andcommand/control elements, which are networked together so thatfully interactive collective task training in real time, oncomputer generated terrain, can be conducted. A firm fixed priceservice contract is to be awarded to support 236 simulators at eleven sites in the U.S. and Germany. This effort shall entailsite administration, training, and maintenance of SIMNET hardwareto ensure a 90% availability rate within a specified turn aroundtime.
