DOD NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING INFORMATION ANALYSIS CENTER (NTIAC) NEW PUBLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT The DoD Nondestructive Testing Information Analysis Center (NTIAC), which is sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) to serve as the DoD's centralized repository of nondestructive testing and evaluation information, announces the availability of a new publication ``Microwave Nondestructive Evaluation-A State-of-the-Art Report''. Written by Dr. Reza Zoughi and Dr. Stoyan Ganchev, Applied Microwave Nondestructive Testing Laboratory, Colorado State University, as part of the NTIAC state-of-the-art report series, this 172 pages critical review contains information on both the fundamental science and general applications of microwave nondestructive evaluation. Chapter contents include: introductory background on microwave and millimeter wave spectra, definition and scope of microwave NDE, dielectric properties of materials, material characterization using microwaves, thickness and disbond measurements, microwave techniques for surface cracks, defect detection in thick composites, and concluding remarks and the future of microwave NDE.
