Contracting Officer, 202-606-3513. Peace Corps seeking qualified
persons (not organizations or companies) to serve as Project Directors
for Pre-Service Trainings in Kazakhstan, o/a 4/15/95. The Project
Director will assume response. for all training, administration,
logisitcs, managerial acts. in the pre-service trainings. The Project
Director will develop training designs and implement pre-service
trainings to ensure that volunteer needs are met. The Project Director
will provide training for host country and US staff to enhance
capacities for implementing and facilitating all pre-service training
events. They will also assist in planning and/or evaluating new
programs and site development for volunteers as necesary. The
successful candidate will be able to provide administration, technical,
and personal support to Peace Corps pre-service training programs.
Experience should include: (1) RPCV/staff or other similar and relevant
overseas living experience; (2) Experience in organizational
management, and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide clear
and concise, and effective verbal and written communications; (3)
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing training programs
in the developing world; including program design, management, and
evaluation; (4) Experience in program planning and development in at
least one of the following fields: Education, Health, Environment,
Youth Development, Business Development, Agri-business. (5)
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in training techniques and
current methodologies for developing capacities of training staff; (6)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural
environment and to maintain good working relationships with ministry
and other host country national officials and counterparts; (7) Ability
to function as a team member of PC staff in assigned posts; (8)
Demonstrated flexibility and leadership skills under difficult working
conditions; (9) Fluency in Kazak and/or Russian languages helpful but
